Business incubators can be an important support for growing businesses. They promote both small business startups and scale-ups by leasing facilities to those who may want to increase their production volume and add capacity and may not have access to up-front investment resources to do so. Partners are currently studying alternatives for a distilling incubator program and facility, that could potentially include brewing and cider-making production too. Along with excellent training, micro loans and the advantages of being located in this geographic hub, incubators play a crucial role in helping small businesses to get and stay on their feet. The City of Tumwater is leading the feasibility project, in partnership with South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC).
